More Flowers for PPF

Hi,  managed to finish the painting I started last week which is of a Gerbera, painted in Acrylics on a Canvas Board.

Am also preparing for the end of term exhibition of our art work where we display our canvases for visitors to see (which is pretty scary).  One of my exhibits will be this painted bottle and am not sure if it will go down well, but have painted it so am displaying it............lol

It was a bottle of Rose' wine which was undercoated with Gesso, painted with Acrylics, Transparent Crackle Glaze, and coated with Modge Podge Sparkle.  The Hummingbird (Designs by Ryn) was stamped on Kitchen Roll and adhered to the paint. Sticky back ribbon, gold wire and beads.  The cap is painted gold with sprinkles of gold glitter.  Unfortunately you cannot see the pretty glistening from sparkles in these photographs.

Have got another bottle on the go at the moment which has been prepared differently, still thinking about the design.

So pleased to see you here and being a part of my art adventures.  Thank you for all your wonderful support.....am sure I can hear a bottle of wine calling to me.....whats it saying?.......drink me.....well it would be rude not to wouldn't it and after all I am supposed to be a debauched artist am I not............lol

Take care of yourselves and have a terrific weekend, hugs Annette xx

You are doing so well with your flowers Annette! The Gerbera is beautiful. And the bottles! I have thought of painting on a bottle too,
but never got to it. Yours does look great :-), makes me want to just try.

Have a nice sip of your wine, maybe I look if we've got something in the house

Oh netty, you have produced some wonderful work. The Gerbira has so much depth, you have done an amazing job on the shading.
I think the painted bottle is a great idea, i like the fact that you cant see the whole painting without turning it around, to me, this makes it very interesting. i love the idea of printing onto kitchen roll. I must try that!
I am sure it will be a great asset to your exhibition :)

you bottle is fab and I'll look forward to seeing the next one (such a hardship having to drink the contents in order to have the bottle as your canvas!)

Netty, your gerbera daisy painting is gorgeous. That's my favorite way to paint - big flowers. I think your painted bottle is pretty. Let us know how it is received. I collect glass things to set on my window sills so I could paint a bunch of them.

wow, I really like this bottle! I like the way it looks. Have always liked the idea of painting on glass, but dislike how it can rub off. This one looks great.

I am so impressed by your painting! One day I hope to branch off in that direction :) Looks like so much fun! Thanks for sharing your lovely bottle project with me and all of the ladies on my Facebook page. Best of luck at your show!!!

After painting it was given two coats of Modge Podge so it can be handled easily without fear of any paint coming off Alicia. x

Hi Netty, I love both the flower and the bottle! First the painting - it's gorgeous!! You make me want to paint flowers and I'm not really a flower painter... ;) And the bottle is just fun!! I love the colors and the design of it. Perfect for the exhibit! Hugs, Silke

I especially like the centre of your flower - very painterly and expressive. Maybe you could paint another with just that section blown up - I think it would be fantastic! And present them together:)
Your photographs of bottle are great - the painted backdrop really enhances them.

Hi Annette (Netty) I LOVE YOUR WORK!!!!! Little did I know your were a professional artist! I came here to thank you for your wonderful comment on my PPF pic (the one on violence) and that you seemed to "get it's emotion" and I am absolutely thrilled to see your blogs. I have scrolled and scrolled. You are so damn talented!!! I LOVE what you have done with the frames etc. The first one, I did not know you had put it there and I thought...now THAT is big painting etc. (looks like some clay of a princess) and was blown away. Street art! The framed one with the boy the same thing. But wait, maybe that is true because you said there was a show coming up! Oh my gosh am I blessed to be here with the other bazillion people and see your work! Thank you so much for the joy I have had. And btw, your picture (profile) is adorable! Lovies, Samara

Netty said...

I am NOT a professional artist Samara. The exhibition is being put on by the art class I go to. Have only been to classes for 2 years and before that had never even drawn a box. Am so sorry if I mislead you as it wasn't my intention. Annette x
